While doing a research for an essay on the graphic art of cartography, I came across a book called "How Maps Work" by Alan M.MacEchren. This project is my response to his idea of map-makers using semiotic to represent geographic information and also his explanation of the way representations are understood and used.

The beauty of mapmaking is in the details - the process of communication between the cartographer and the viewer, visual perceptions and typography.
