Bulgarian Cyrillic

These zines are a showcase of my research on Bulgarian Cyrillic alphabet. I looked into its Balkan origins and its thousand-year-long writing history. While I was exploring its usage in the 20th century, I found interesting examples of newspaper headlines that are custom created and aren't existing as fonts. This gave me the idea to revive and put the font back in use.
(see the outcome here)

Additionally, I found some beautiful photographs of Bulgarian streets, crammed with words and acronyms – type and lettering. I followed that up by documenting the changes of the cyrillic letter Ф (F) through its most popular fonts.
